I was the lead Environment Artist for Tony Hawk Underground remix, a PSP launch title. The hardware was influx, and we were uncertain of the memory that would be available. To mitigate the risk, we built 4 new environments that we could scale the size on. We got lucky and the launch units the memory we had hoped they would have allowing all the THUG2 levels to fit as well. Most of the development was done on PS2 dev kits and outputted to either a psone LCD to see it closer to the size and quality it would run at, or on a CRT tv, cropped into the upper left corner. I personally built large parts of the Santa Cruz and Atlanta levels, and assisted on the Vegas and Kyoto levels.
